OUR POLICIES

We know that each practice is individual, but we also acknowledge that the studio is a shared space. In order to guarantee the best experience possible for each student, Selfless Love Yoga & Spiritual Wellness requests that all students follow the guidelines and policies provided below:

  • Cell phones should be turned to silent or off upon entering the studio. NO cell phones are permitted in the practice room.

  • There must be at least two paying students in attendance for a class to run.

  • Please refrain from wearing perfumes/colognes or other fragrances.

  • Please choose your class package carefully. There will be no extensions or holds on class packages of any type or time period. Exceptions will be made for serious injury/illness/extenuating circumstances, but you must contact us in a timely manner and in some cases a doctors note will be required.

  • There is no sharing or transferring of class passes. If you would like to share with a family member, please purchase our "shared" package.

  • Plan to arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled class time to check in, store your belongings, and get settled in on your mat. If you arrive late, please enter as silently as possible and be courteous to the students who arrived on time. Please do not speak upon entering the studio room if class is in session and quietly roll your mat out. Props can be brought to your mat once the class is out of surrender.

  • If a student has to leave class early, they are to let the teacher know ahead of time and have their belongings cleaned up and be out the door BEFORE savasana begins out of respect to the teacher and other students in the class.

  • Please remove your shoes upon entering Selfless Love Yoga as a form of respect for the ancient tradition of the East and to support the clean environment that we maintain. Shoes are NOT to be worn onto the practice floor.

  • Upon your arrival to the studio, please check-in at the desk prior to placing your mat down.

  • A signed release form is required of all students who practice in the studio. If you have not signed a release form, please obtain a copy at the reception desk.

  • Do not step on other students’ yoga mats.

  • Mats are loaned for free, but the student is responsible for spraying/wiping it down before returning it.

  • After class, please fold blankets back to the form in which you received them and return all props in a neat and orderly manner.

  • If you are pregnant, have serious health conditions or injuries, have had any health changes, or feel as if there is something the instructor should know, please alert them before class. This is the student's responsibility to ensure their own safety throughout the class.

  • Always listen to your body, as no one knows you better than you.

  • Class packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

  • We kindly ask that controversial topics not be discussed within the walls of Selfless Love Yoga & Spiritual Wellness. We believe that all perspectives are valid in each individual's reality and would prefer to keep the energy of controversy out of the space.

  • Packages that were purchased pre-pandemic were honored for the first 12 months that we were open in our Leonardo location and are no longer valid.

Class Cancellation Policy:

You must cancel your reservation, or give verbal/written notice, at least 2 hours before the start time for your class to be returned to your account.

Workshop Cancellation and Refund Policy:
If you register for a workshop and are unable to attend: If we receive your request for cancellation more than 24 hours before the event you can either get a refund to your card minus a 5% admin fee, or a full refund credited to your account (this credit can be used toward any purchase). There are no refunds or credits if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance.

If your workshop is canceled, you will be notified by email and/or phone in a timely manner and receive your choice of studio credit or a full refund.

Young Student Policy:
Our classes are designed for students 16 years of age and older. The yoga practice of a child is different from the practice of an adult. If you would like to bring your child to a regular yoga class with you, he/she must be at least 13 years old and you must follow the following criteria:

  • You must sign a separate consent form for each child.

  • Please place your mat next to your child’s in the front of the room by the door so you may leave quietly if needed.

  • It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to watch over their child to ensure that they do not injure themselves or disrupt the class. If the instructor feels as if he/she can align them and they don’t mind, then the instructor will do so, but the poses in a regular yoga class are focused on students aged 16 and older.

  • If your child becomes a distraction to the class or teacher, the instructor reserves the right to ask you to quietly leave, expecting your full understanding and willingness to comply.

  • If you need to leave the class for any reason, you must bring your child with you. We do not allow students under the age of 16 in our regular classes without a parent or accompanying adult and will not be responsible for any person that age.

Thank you, kindly! (:
