Never practiced yoga? Looking to fine tune your practice? This is the perfect class for you. Our Beginner Vinyasa is suitable for all body types and levels of experiences. You will be guided through Flow based postures in a Vinyasa style with solid anatomical instruction for the beginner in all of us. Learn the benefits of yoga, incorporating basic yoga asana (postures), proper yogic breathing, and relaxation techniques. Room to explore and deepen the practice for those who are looking to explore more. We recommend anyone new to the practice to start here.
Our Vinyasa Flow is an energetic, dynamically-flowing series of interconnected postures synchronized with the breath in order to align your body, mind, and heart. Blending an inspiring vinyasa practice with alignment instruction to create clarity in your practice and encourage openness in your body and your daily life. Each class is different and every teacher brings a unique style to the space. Every practice is intended to be a complete experience, leaving you centered, grounded, & refreshed. The body should have good mobility in order to keep up with this flow. If you are a first time practitioner, we recommend that you try our fundamental flow first.
Dynamic is for those who are looking to get their heart rate up and advance their practice. Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a vigorous and mindful flow. The flow is designed to strengthen muscles, build flexibility, and gain concentration while releasing deeply held tension and calming the mind so that you can feel better and perform better in your everyday activities. This class is not meant for beginners or those with limited mobility.
Yoga and essential oils are a perfect match. Essential oils can be used for a wide range of emotion and physical wellness applications and harmonize perfectly with a yoga practice. Enjoy the relaxing and soothing aroma while you are guided through a Vinyasa flow class. The exact pace of the class depends on what oils will be used and whether they are energizing or relaxing, but you are sure to receive a full body opening through stretch and strengthening asanas (poses). Oils will be applied topically at certain points throughout class. Combining aromatherapy with yoga can powerfully enhance the yoga journey. This is an open-level practice. (If you would not like to receive oils, but would still enjoy a Vinyasa practice, simply let the teacher know prior to class starting).
Our Manipura Chakra lies in the solar plexus and is our fire center. It’s where we put our ideas into action and it’s from this space that we digest life, both physically and also in how we process the situations and circumstances life throws at us. This practice is a slightly quicker paced Vinyasa flow that is sure to increase your heart rate and is meant to target this fiery chakra by using such things as core work, twists, pranayama, and meditation. This class is not meant for beginners or those with limited mobility - we recommend that you try our beginner friendly flows first.
Deep Stretch Vinyasa & Gong Bath
Deep Stretch Vinyasa consists of the perfect balance between stretch and flow. Deep postures are held mindfully for more extended periods of time, helping to awaken your body and clear your mind. Expect deep hip, back, and leg openings with longer holds to get beyond the muscle tissue into the connective tissues, the fascia of the body, as well as gain strength and increase mobility with Vinyasa flows weaved between. This class is designed to generally open the body up, peeling away layers of stress, injury, and tension that reside within. This is an open-level class with a somewhat slower flow than our typical Vinyasa flow. This practice is sealed with a Gong bath. **There is a possibility of the Gong Bath portion of the practice being omitted on occasional days when coverage is needed.
Yin & Reiki
The practice of Yin yoga works deeply into our body with longer held poses making it great for the evening, beginners, and anyone simply looking to relax and let go. Yin postures target our deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body (as opposed to the muscles). A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine as these areas are especially rich in connective tissues. Yin yoga is almost entirely passive, although some Yin asanas contain some Yang elements. While in the posture, a certified Reiki practitioner will come around and give Reiki. This is a no-sweat practice and open to all levels.
(If you would not like to receive Reiki, but would still enjoy a Yin practice, simply let the teacher know prior to class starting). **There is a possibility of the Reiki portion of the practice being omitted on occasional evenings when coverage is needed.
A great antidote to the stresses of a busy life and a wonderful balance for more active practices, this class will take you through a gentle sequence of restful postures, in which you may or may not be supported by props and encouraged to find comfort and ease in your body. These restorative poses, accompanied by simple breathing techniques and gentle stretches, serve to soothe the nervous system and promote relaxation and deep healing on all levels. It is an excellent practice for those recovering from illness or injury, or anyone living with chronic pain. Be still, relax, and find the healing you need.
Soothe your senses with calming melodies combined with a very gentle, easy flow. This is an all level class, so everyone is able to find his or her individual level of comfort. Soft candlelight brings you home to the stillness within, as you float into deeper self-awareness. This practice is typically sealed with a meditation of some sort.
Chakras are wheels of energy that run along the spine, and each chakra contributes to a part of our subtle body. When out of balance, our chakras can contribute to many emotional and physical ailments. Join Dana as she guides you in bringing your chakra system to life in this unique class that focuses on the seven chakras. She moves you through poses that help align each individual chakra, moving up the spine from the root (Muladhara) chakra to the crown (Sahasrara) chakra. The class will be transitioned seamlessly from one to the next, guiding you into poses that open each chakra. Pranayama (breath work) will be included to aid in moving the energy up
**There is a possibility of the Reiki portion of the practice being omitted on occasional evenings when coverage is needed.
